Maj. Gen. Adesina Assumes Command As Commander Corps Of Signals

The newly appointed Commander Corps of Signals (CCS), Major General Gbemiga Olusegun Adesina, has assumed command on Tuesday 11 July 2023 as the 44th CCS.

The outgoing CCS Major General Garba Abdullahi, in his farewell remarks, thanked the Almighty God for his successful career in the Nigerian Army. He also appreciated officers and soldiers of the corps for their commitment and cooperation during his tenure. He further commended commanders, directors of signals formations and units, as well as staff officers of Headquarters Nigerian Army Signals (HQ NAS) for their good working relationship with him, enjoining them to corporate with the new CCS.

In his maiden remarks, Major General Olusegun Adesina, thanked the Almighty God and the Chief of Army Staff, Major General TA Lagbaja for finding him worthy to be appointed as the CCS. He also thanked formation commanders, directors and principal staff officers of the HQ NAS for their immense contributions towards the successes so far achieved by the corps and further tasked all officers and soldiers of the corps to redouble their efforts so as to leverage on the successes of his predecessor. Major General Olusegun Adesina, before his recent appointment as the CCS, was the Chief of Defence Communications at the Defence Headquarters.

Highpoints of the events were signing of handing and taking over notes, decoration of the new CCS with Signals insignia, group photograph, hoisting of a new Signals flag at the Quarter Guard which signifies the commencement of a new era in the Corps.
