Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso Hosts Christmas Carol Of Nine Lessons In Kaduna

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Mayirenso Lander David Saraso, hosted a Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons at his official residence in Dalet Barracks, Kaduna, on December 22, 2024. This event was part of the regimental activities lined up for the end-of-year festive season.

The Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons is a traditional service that involves nine readings from scripture, each followed by a carol or hymn. The readings and carols tell the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of a Messiah, and the birth of Jesus Christ.

Major General Saraso read the First Lesson during the service, which also featured choir groups, family members, friends, and other stakeholders, including the Christian Association of Nigeria State Chairman in Kaduna. The event ended with presentations of gifts to the choir groups and members of the officiating clergy, as well as group pictures.
