Matawalle Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Late Lieutenant General Lagbaja
The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, MON, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, Nigeria’s 23rd Chief of Army Staff, who passed away on November 5, 2024, following a brief illness.
Dr. Matawalle visited the family today at the Flag Staff House, Niger Barracks, Abuja, to offer his condolences to Mrs. Mariya Lagbaja and other grieving members of the family.
Dr. Matawalle highlighted the legacy of loyalty, bravery, and integrity left by the late Lieutenant General Lagbaja, emphasizing the enduring impact he made on the Nigerian Army and the nation at large. “Lieutenant General Lagbaja served Nigeria with unwavering dedication, and his commitment to our country’s peace and security will remain a guiding light to those following in his path,” he stated.
