
MD/CEO NESL Visits Corps Commander NACST, Seeks Professional Collaboration and Inter-Service Cooperation
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Naval Engineering Services Limited (NESL), Rear Admiral Umaru Usman Faruk, has paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) in a bid to strengthen professional collaboration and enhance inter-Service cooperation.
The visit, hosted by the Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST), Major General Nansak Danjuma Shagaya, on 12 February 2026, aimed to explore areas of mutual interest and identify opportunities for joint initiatives.
Rear Admiral Faruk emphasized the strategic importance of partnership between NESL and NACST, particularly in equipment building and maintenance, as well as supply of engine oils for operational vehicles. He stressed the need for structured knowledge sharing and sustained engagement to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery across the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
In his response, Commander Corps of Supply and Transport, Major General Nansak Danjuma Shagaya welcomed the MD/CEO and reaffirmed NACST’s commitment to joint initiatives and continuous collaboration. He identified the 704 ST Boat Battalion, Calabar, as a viable starting point for enhanced partnership with NESL, citing the company’s capacity to handle maintenance and production of boats for the Nigerian Army.
Maj Gen Shagaya noted that such collaboration would significantly enhance equipment support to the Armed Forces while contributing to broader national development efforts. He assured NESL of NACST’s readiness to work closely towards achieving shared objectives and mutual success.
