Minister Bagudu Joins Governor Nasir Idris and Dignitaries as Tinubu Calls for Community-Based Peace Committees
The Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, joined Governor Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) and other dignitaries at the Northern Traditional Rulers Council (NTRC) General Assembly held in Birnin Kebbi, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu advocated for the establishment of community-based peace and security committees across Nigeria.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, President Tinubu said the initiative aims to promote dialogue, strengthen interfaith cooperation, and enhance collaboration between communities, traditional rulers, and security agencies.
Senator Bagudu emphasized the need for unity and national support for the Armed Forces, while Governor Nasir Idris reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to peace, security, and empowering traditional institutions.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, lauded Kebbi State’s hospitality and urged citizens to support security agencies in maintaining national stability.
