More Than 5,000 Students Benefit From Nigerian Army’s Education Outreach In Borno State

As part of Sector 2 Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities, aimed at improving the lives of members of host communities and strengthen the existing cordial relationship between military and host communities, Sector 2 commenced education outreach to communities in Kaga and Konduga Local Government areas of Borno State. More than Five Thousand students benefitted from the outreach.

In his remarks during separate events, the Commander Sector 2 OPHK, Brigadier General Beyidi Martins encouraged the students to concentrate on their studies and be good ambassadors of their communities.The Sector Commander who was represented by Commander 29 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General OO Braimah further urged the students and members of the communities to avoid any form of criminal activities, as well as provide timely information that will aid security agencies in the fight against insurgency and other criminal activities in their communities.

In their separate remarks, the local government Chairmen, Principals/Headmasters and community leaders expressed gratitude and appreciated the kind gesture by military for the conduct of the education outreach in their communities and pledged to support the military and other security agencies in the State.
