NADCEL 2025: NAOWA President Attends Gala Night and Grand Finale In Kaduna

The President of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs. Mernan Femi Oluyede, was among several high-profile dignitaries who graced the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2025 Gala Night and Grand Finale in Kaduna State.

Represented by the Deputy NAOWA President, Mrs. Bilkisu Ibrahim, the NAOWA President was accompanied by other members of the Association drawn from both the National Secretariat and the 1 Division Chapter at the Gala Night held on Saturday, 5 July 2025, at the Umar Musa Yar’Adua Conference Centre.

The event featured a vibrant showcase of tradition, music, and camaraderie, bringing together senior military officers, top state government officials, and invited dignitaries to celebrate the achievements and milestones of the Nigerian Army.

The celebration reached its climax on Sunday, 6 July 2025, at the polo field, Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna, with the NADCEL 2025 Grand Finale and Exhibition Tour.

Following the ceremonial parade and display, the Deputy NAOWA President and other accompanying NAOWA members joined dignitaries on a guided tour of the Research and Development (R&D) pavilion and static equipment display stands, which showcased the Army’s locally developed innovations and technological capabilities. The day’s engagements concluded with a special luncheon.

In attendance at the auspicious occasion were the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, represented by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON. Also present were the Chief of Defence Staff, General CG Musa, OFR, the Chief Host, the COAS, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede, NAM, other service chiefs, and the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Uba Sani, and senior military officers, amongst others.

Highlights of the Finale were the excellent file past and displays by the various combat arms, combat support arms and combat support services of the Nigerian Army, presentation of the COAS Commendation Award to deserving personnel, presentation of brand new hilux vehicles to deserving soldiers, the R & D exhibition, and group photographs.
