NAFIAM Graduates 23 Officers From Young Officers’ Course, Reaffirms NAF’s Commitment To Capacity Building

The Nigerian Air Force Institute of Administrative Management (NAFIAM) has graduated 23 officers from the Young Officers’ Course (YOC) 19/2025 during a ceremony held at NAF Base Kaduna. The intensive programme featured a renewed curriculum designed to enhance the officers’ competence in staff duties, service knowledge, and unconventional warfare. The graduation marks a significant milestone in the professional development of the young officers, who are now equipped with essential skills and strategic insight required for effective operational performance and contribution to the Nigerian Air Force’s mission readiness.

In his remarks, the Special Guest of Honour, Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command (AOC GTC), Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Shinkafi, underscored the indispensability of training and capacity building as the foundation for professionalism and excellence in the military. He commended the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, for his steadfast commitment to human capacity development through timely and mission-driven training initiatives that ensure personnel remain at their professional best.

Earlier in his address, the Commandant of NAFIAM, Air Vice Marshal Mohammed Yusuf, congratulated the graduating officers on their achievement and emphasized the importance of continuous learning, noting that “the skills and knowledge that were sufficient yesterday may not be enough for the challenges of tomorrow.” He reaffirmed the Institute’s resolve to continually align with the CAS’ Command Philosophy on Deliberate Training and Mission-Oriented Force Development, while appreciating the guidance and leadership of the AOC GTC in driving the Institute’s success.
