NAFOWA Delivers Medical and Humanitarian Support To Over 500 Beneficiaries In Abuja
The Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA), in support of the Nigerian Air Force’s people-centred welfare strategy, has delivered medical and humanitarian assistance to over 500 beneficiaries during a Medical and Humanitarian Outreach held on 24 January 2026 at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Bill Clinton Drive, Abuja. The outreach was conducted as part of activities marking the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day, with priority given to widows of fallen heroes and wives of serving Nigerian Air Force personnel.
Beneficiaries received free medical consultations, health screenings, and other essential healthcare services, alongside the distribution of food and non-food items aimed at enhancing overall wellbeing. Mrs Aneke emphasised that sustained attention to health and social welfare is critical to force morale and operational effectiveness, stressing that the outreach was designed to provide not only tangible support but also reassurance, solidarity, and institutional care.
Speaking at the event, the NAFOWA National President, Mrs Ngozi Aneke, described the outreach as a deliberate humanitarian extension of the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to honouring the sacrifices of its personnel by safeguarding the wellbeing of their families. She noted that NAFOWA remains firmly aligned with the Service’s welfare philosophy, delivering targeted healthcare, social support, and empowerment initiatives that reinforce family stability, morale, and resilience within the Nigerian Air Force community.
The outreach aligns with the Chief of the Air Staff’s welfare-first leadership priority, which recognises personnel wellbeing as a strategic enabler of operational readiness and mission success. The NAFOWA National President expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal SK Aneke, the Commander 053 NAF Camp, NAF medical personnel, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders for their support, while reaffirming NAFOWA’s continued role as a reliable humanitarian partner in advancing the Nigerian Air Force’s welfare and people-centric objectives.
