The Uyo zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday September 19, 2018, played host to some members of the Grassroot Development Advocacy Initiative-NDAI, a Non Governmental Organisation(NGO) under the National Anti-Corruption Coalition (NACC).

The team which was led by the National Director, Mr. Patrick E. Essien, visited the Commissions office in Uyo to intimate the commission of their work plan in the state and to solicit partnership with the EFCC in the pursuit of their organisational goal which is hinged on the anti-graft war, and to ensure it is realised.

According to Mr. Essien, the Organisation which has gone through several trainings on grassroot engagements in budget processes, are poised to ensure that with the right partnership, the fight against corruption will be sustained at all levels, while project monitoring will also be given serious attention to ensure that sustainable development gets to the grassroot.

While commending the visitors and their passion in the fight against corruption, the Zonal Head, Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol, promised to partner with the group as long as they remain committed to the fight.

“We are really very pleased to have you visit us today, and we will ensure that this synergy yields good results because the fight against corruption is not just an EFCC fight, but one that requires the effort of every Nigerian in order for us to win this fight, which will definitely be won someday” said Chukkol.

Also present during the visit are: Mr. Patrick Idemeto-Deputy Director; Mr. Peter Peter, Director of Administration; Mr. Norbert Ramba, Director of programmes; Mr. Gabriel Udo and Mr. Samuel Ezekiel – Provost 1 & 2 respectively.
