National Board For Technical Education Conducts Accreditation Visit To The Nigeria Navy College Of Accounts and Finance
On Friday 9 May 2025, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) visited the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF) for the re-accreditation of the College’s National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. The re-accreditation exercise covered ND and HND Accountancy, HND Office Technology and Management, HND Business Administration and Management as well as Institutional Administration.
In his welcome address, the Commandant NNCAF, Commodore BU Quadri stated that the accreditation exercise aligns with the objective of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla of providing high quality training to personnel of the Nigerian Navy. He noted that the exercise would foster academic excellence and innovation among personnel.
In response, the Team Leader and Director, Polytechnics and Allied Programmes Department, Dr (Mrs) Fatima Kabir Umar, ably represented by Dr (Mrs) Kubura Jauro, stressed that the re-accreditation exercise is crucial to ensuring the College meets the highest standards of producing high quality and skilled manpower. She also emphasised that it serves as a badge of honour and assures prospective students that the institution has met the established standards.
During the exercise, the team assessed the curriculum, standard and quality of students’ work, teaching staff, and physical facilities in the College among others. After the assessment, the team converged at the College’s conference room for an exit interview where their observations and recommendations were discussed with the management of the College. Dr. Jauro, on behalf of the accreditation team thanked the College for the warm reception and hospitality accorded them. She also commended the staff for their cooperation which facilitated quick completion of the assignment.
