Naval Outpost Idah Strengthens Community Ties, Enhances Security Collaboration

The Commanding Officer, Naval Outpost (NOP) Idah Commander Amos Gadzama, undertook strategic courtesy visits to key stakeholders, including the Chief of Chekene Chief Solomon Ocheni, and the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Idah, Dr Yahaya Usman, to reinforce civil-military relations and security cooperation.

During the visit to Chief Ocheni, whose land was allocated for the Nigerian Navy NOP permanent site, the CO underscored the Service’s commitment to safeguarding its assets, highlighted by the erection of a signpost to deter encroachment.

At the Federal Polytechnic, Commander Gadzama reaffirmed the Navy’s readiness to provide timely security support, a gesture commended by the Rector in recognition of NOP’s swift response to prior security concerns.

The engagements collectively reflect NOP IDAH’s proactive posture in strengthening community ties and securing strategic interests within its area of responsibility.
