Streaming network Netflix has severed their relationship with Kevin Spacey and will not be releasing another film staring the disgraced actor who has been accused of inappropriate sexual behaviour.

In a statement shared by Guardian, the company said, “Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey. We will continue to work with MRC (Media Rights Capital) during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show.”

The statement continued, saying, “We have also decided we will not be moving forward with the release of the film Gore, which was in post-production, starring and produced by Kevin Spacey.”

This interesting turn comes days after Netflix announced that it was ending the actor’s show, House of Cards, at the sixth season due to the scandal. Recall also that the Emmy Awards has also cancelled the award it has planned to honour the actor with.

Spacey’s publicist said he is “taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment.
