Nicki Minaj Bags ‘Rebel Award’ at the Fashion Los Angeles Awards 2017
Nicki Minaj continues to dominate the headlines with major victories.
Today, the Pinkprint rapper took to her Instagram to share photos from the just-concluded Fashion Los Angeles Awards ceremony, where she was honoured with a Rebel Award for her contributions to the fashion industry.
“I’m gonna cherish this one,” said the rapper who has been at the centre of major conversations this year.
Only last week, the rapper officially became a model following the major management deal she signed with the prestigious Wilhelmina International Inc.’s celebrity division.
The 34-year-old rapper has made long strides in the music and fashion industry. In March, Nicki Minaj made history as the female artiste with the most appearances on the Hot 100 Hits, a feat that was previously held by the legendary singer, Aretha Franklin.
Now, the rapper who before now was signed as the face of brands like Roberto Cavalli and worked with industry A-listers like Mario Testino, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, has added one more feather to her hat.
Some of the stars spotted at last night’s event include Kim Kardashian, singer Fergie V, editor-in-chief of V Magazine and creative director of US Harper’s Bazaar Stephen Gan, and celebrity photographer, Mert Alas.
