Intelligence gathered that in the early hours of the day, fighter jets from the Nigeria Airforce launched airstrikes on bandits hideouts in Mayanchi forest, killing several bandits terrorising the state
Zamfara state has been bedevilled with rampant kidnappings and banditry.
Earlier in the month, the Government announced the arrest of a soldier who supplies bandits with military uniforms and arms.
