Troops under the auspices of Operation Thunder Strike (OPTS) and 1 Division Nigerian Army have killed two bandits and cleared several bandit camps in the Buruku axis of Chikun Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
Intelligence gathered that bandits engaged the gallant troops who were on a search and rescue mission around the Buruku forest in Rima village.
The gallant troops overpowered the criminals killing 2 while others escaped with gunshot injuries.
Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna state commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs who confirmed the incident, said several bandit camps were also cleared and destroyed during the operation.
