Nigerian Air Force, France Advance Strategic Defence Engagement
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation with France following a courtesy visit by the Defence Attaché of France, Colonel Stephane Useo, to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, at Headquarters NAF, Abuja, on 25 March 2026. The engagement underscored the importance of sustained military-to-military collaboration in advancing capacity building, specialised training, and operational synergy in response to evolving security dynamics. The CAS emphasised that strategic partnerships remain vital to enhancing professionalism, institutional resilience, and the effective application of airpower in support of national, regional, and global stability, while expressing confidence that continued cooperation with France would further strengthen defence capabilities and foster shared security objectives.
