
Nigerian Air Force Officers Join Global Defence Scientists At Prestigious International Conference In Cairo
In a display of Nigeria’s growing footprint in military science and technology, officers of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) joined over 59 countries at the 2025 International Scientific Conference of the Military Technical College, held recently in Cairo, Egypt.
Representing the NAF were Group Captain OG Alabi of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) and Wing Commander AS Dahiru of the Air Force Research and Development Institute (AFRDI). Their participation aligns with the Chief of the Air Staff’s (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar’s strategic vision for a modern, knowledge-driven and innovation-oriented Air Force.
The high-level conference served as a global platform for military scientists, engineers, and academics to share cutting-edge research and technological advancements across various domains, including aerospace engineering, cyber systems, and defence applications. NAF’s engagement allowed its officers to interact with leading experts, explore collaborative opportunities, and gain insights into emerging technologies critical to future air power.
