Nigerian Air Force, Pakistan Air Force Deepen Strategic Defence Partnership

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic defence collaboration with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) following a high-level visit. The delegation, led by the Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (CPAC), Air Vice Marshal Hakim Raza, engaged the NAF leadership on areas of technology sharing, advanced training, fleet maintenance, and joint development initiatives aimed at boosting both forces’ operational capacity.

Receiving the team at NAF Headquarters on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), AVM Iboro Etukudo, Chief of Policy and Plans NAF, described the long-standing ties between the two modern air forces as mutual, collaborative, and trust-driven. He emphasized that building strategic partnerships is central to the CAS’s agenda of transforming the NAF into a more agile and resilient force capable of addressing national security demands across diverse operational environments.

Accompanied by the Pakistan Deputy Chief of Air Staff Operations, AVM Aurang Zeb, and the Pakistan Defence Attaché to Nigeria, Colonel Kamran Mushtab, the visit underscores the commitment of both nations to regional security, operational excellence, and mutual growth. It further aligns with the CAS’s Command Philosophy of “prioritising research and development, leveraging cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and lessons learnt”.
