Nigerian Air Force Showcases Strategic Vision At Aerospace Power Conference In Rome

In affirmation of its commitment to global air power discourse, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) actively participated in the Aerospace Power Conference 2025, held from 8 to 9 May at the La Nuvola Convention Centre in Rome, Italy. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, was ably represented by the Chief of Standards and Evaluation, Air Vice Marshal Michael Abidoye.

The high-level event, themed “Fighting and Winning in the Sky Beyond the Next Decade,” brought together more than 1,500 distinguished participants, including global military leaders, aerospace experts, and policymakers. Organised by the Italian Air Force in collaboration with the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), the conference provided a platform for deep engagement on the future of air warfare, space operations, and technological disruption in military aviation.

NAF’s presence at the international forum underscores its strategic posture to stay ahead of emerging threats while enhancing its capabilities through cutting-edge technologies, strategic partnerships, and lessons learnt, a core enabler of the CAS’ Command Philosophy.
