Nigerian and French Navies Conclude Exercise Crocodile Lift
The Nigerian Navy (NN) in conjunction with the French Navy conducted a sea exercise tagged “EX CROCODILE LIFT 2024” from 23 to 25 November 2024. The Exercise was conducted in accordance the NN strategy of enhancing operational synergy with her international partners.
The conduct included drills on Sea lift, Amphibious Landing, simulated hostage rescue scenario and medical evacuation.
Two NN ships, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) KADA and DB ABUJA as well as the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service and the Naval Air Base including French Navy Ship DIXMUDE participated in the Exercise.
The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla was represented by the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Doctrine Command, Rear Admiral SU Gombe, the Officer in Tactical Command (OTC) was the Fleet Commander Western Naval Comand, Commodore Ibrahim Mohammed-Katsina.
The Exercise was flagged off on 23 November 2024 onboard NNS KADA by the Flag Officer Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Mike Gregory Oamen. The amphibious raid was successfully conducted on 23 November 2024 at Tarkwa Bay beach in Lagos.
The Exercise concluded with a debrief on 25 November 2024.
