Nigerian Army Conducts Free Medical Outreach In Faskari Community
The Nigerian Army (NA) has conducted free medical outreach services recently to the residents of Faskari community in Katsina State. The free medical outreach is part of non-kinetic effort to sensitize the community on the conduct of Operation RUWAN KARFE, which aims to decimates bandits within the general area.
Speaking during the flag-off the medical outreach the Commander Nigerian Army Training Center (NATRAC) Major General Abubakar Garba Haruna, said that the initiative reflects the Army’s recognition that national security goes beyond combat operations.
“Security is not only about arms and ammunition, but also about the wellbeing and health of our citizens,” he stated. “This outreach is an expression of our commitment to peace, stability and development of the communities we serve.”
Furthermore, the Commander emphasized that a healthy population contributes more meaningfully to national growth and development.
Additionally, he commended the residents of Faskari for their cooperation and hospitality towards troops operating in the area, noting that their support remains crucial to the success of ongoing military operations, as he urged residents to see the Army not just as a fighting force but as partners in nation-building.
In appreciation, District Head, Faskari Local Government, Alhaji Aminu Tukur Usman, expressed his appreciation to the Nigerian Army not only for the medical outreach but also for protecting the lives and properties of the people in the community and the country at large.
He prayed for the troops’ successes in all operations they embarked on.
The outreach featured free medical consultations, distribution of mosquito nets, health education, drugs distribution and referrals for advanced treatment where necessary.
The event drew large crowds from Faskari and surrounding communities with beneficiaries expressing appreciation for the Army’s gesture.
