
Nigerian Army Reaffirms Commitment To Regular Leadership Training For Personnel
The Headquarters 3 Brigade Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to continuous transformational leadership training for its junior and middle cadres, officers, describing it as a vital component for combat efficiency in all aspects of warfare.
The Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Ahmed Tukur, stated this on Thursday at the Headquarters 3 Brigade Officers’ Training Day, organized by Headquarters 3 Brigade Nigerian Army, Kano. Participants included Personnel of the Nigerian Army and other sister services as well as representatives of other security agencies in Kano.
In his welcome address, the Commander Brigadier General Tukur, stated that the Nigerian Army places strong emphasis on the training of its personnel, adding that, the training which put-together for the junior and middle cadre officers, underscored the critical importance of consistent leadership training as a key driver of combat power for overall military and paramilitary effectiveness.
Brigadier General Tukur noted the need for junior and middle cadre leaders of the military and other security agencies to have strong character, unwavering commitment, and the capacity for quick thinking and sound decision making. He added that countering today’s threats requires full cooperation and training of all security agencies employing a whole of society approach.
The Commander implored participants to take full advantage of the training to seriously explore the knowledge acquired, and share their experiences and expectations.
He reiterated the Brigade’s unwavering commitment to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), for his invaluable support in enhancing the success of its various operations. He further appreciated the seasoned resource persons, who sacrificed their time to for the training, to rub minds and share their knowledge and experiences during the deliberations.
The training featured series of presentations, including “Regulatory Framework: A Counter Measure to Terrorism Funding in Africa” delivered by the Head of Cyber Crime Section, Economic and Financial Crime Commission, (EFCC), Kano Zonal Directorate, DSE James Ebiboloukemi. The Second presentation was on “Building a Secure Financial Future: Strategies for a Comfortable Retirement,” which was delivered by the Team Lead, of First Asset Management, Kano State Branch, Mr. Nuhu Jubril.
