Nigerian Army Repel Boko Haram Attack In Borno State

Troops of 3 Battalion Repel BHT Attack in Logomani Borno State.

Vigilant troops of 3 Battalion of the Nigerian Army at about 11 pm on 24 Oct 18 engaged some elements of BHT who attempted to infiltrate the Forward Operations Base at Logomani on horsebacks.

4 BHTs were neutralized with their horses. During further exploitation, the troops discovered one dead body on a local stretcher hurriedly made with sticks for evacuation.

A live horse was also captured.

However, 2 soldiers had minor injuries and one member of CJTF had gunshot wounds.

Thereafter, a civilian trailer fell into the BHT IED planted to prevent own troops from possible reinforcements.

The trailer axle, back-screen and tires were damaged as a result.

The Acting GOC 7 Div Brig Gen Bulama Biu immediately visited the gallant troops and commended their gallantry and assured them of sustained logistics and welfare.
