Nigerian Army Resource Centre Graduates Participants Of Adaptive Leadership Course In Partnership With Kings College London

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre NARC in collaboration with Kings College London African Leadership Centre on 1 May 2026 conducted the graduation ceremony of participants of the course titled “Adaptive Leadership in the Context of Shifting Global Norms Alliances and Geopolitical Competition in Africa” at the Centre Asokoro Abuja.

The event was attended by the Special Guest of Honour the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General W Shaibu represented by the Chief of Army Training Major General V U Okoro, alongside the Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Major General J G K Myam rtd OFR, senior officers, directors and other distinguished participants.

In his welcome address the Director General expressed satisfaction with the successful conduct of the five day course noting that it has enhanced leadership capacity and strategic understanding among participants. He emphasised that the programme aligns with Nigerias contemporary security realities and urged participants to serve as good ambassadors by applying the knowledge gained to their professional duties. He also appreciated the Chief of Army Staff and partners for their continued support.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Course Coordinator, Professor Randolph Charles Kent described the course as a platform for the exchange of ideas among participants from diverse professional backgrounds. He noted that the programme was designed to provide context to 21st century challenges and support strategic thinking on future directions. He expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and acknowledged the mutual benefits of the collaboration with Kings College London.

The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates to participants drawn from senior military ranks including Brigadier Generals ,Colonels Lieutenant Colonels ,as well as academics and other professionals.

In his remarks the Special Guest of Honour commended the vision behind the course and its contribution to advancing the capacity of the Nigerian Army. He urged participants to leverage the knowledge acquired to influence operations governance and strategic decision making and congratulated them on the successful completion of the programme. He also appreciated the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and the Chief of Army Staff who is the Chairman Board of Trustees for their support in ensuring the success of the course.
