
Nigerian Army Resource Centre Graduates Students Of Indigenous Languages Course 20/2025
The Graduation Ceremony of Indigenous Languages Course 20/2025 was held on Friday, 28 November 2025, at Hall C, TY Buratai Block, Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja.
In his welcome address, the Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre Maj Gen JGK Myam (rtd) OFR highlighted the importance of the Indigenous Languages Course as a strategic initiative designed to build the capacity of Nigerian Army personnel for improved operational effectiveness. He emphasized that proficiency in local languages enhances soldiers’ ability to engage meaningfully with communities, gather intelligence, foster cooperation, and execute duties with greater cultural sensitivity.
He Urged participants to fully utilize the languages they had learned, improve their proficiency through continuous practice, and prepare diligently for the post-course examinations. He also advised them to look beyond the immediate benefits and embrace the long-term professional value of multilingual competence. The Director General expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff, the participants for their discipline, and the instructors and staff responsible for delivering the course modules effectively.

In his Remarks, the Special Guest of Honour, Chief of Army Staff(COAS) Lt Gen W Shaibu NAM Ably Represented by Major General IM Abdullahi mni Chief of Administration (Army) commended the Nigerian Army Resource Centre and its Director General for their commitment to quality training and capacity development. He noted that the proficiency acquired through the course would significantly enhance communication between personnel and the local populance they serve. He praised the Centre for its consistent achievements in delivering impactful training programmes.
While officially declaring the course closed He Thanked the President Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tunubu GCFR for his strategic guidance and continued support to the NA and assures of the Army’s unalloyed loyalty.
