Nigerian Army Resource Centre Holds Leadership Development Course For Senior Non-Commissioned Officers

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Abuja has intensified efforts of capacity building for the officers and men of the Nigerian Army. It is in this regard that it recently held a successful and seamless 5-day leadership awareness and development programme for the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) of the 7 Division Nigerian Army at Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri, Borno State from 16th-20th October 2023.

The esteemed event was graced by the presence of Major General PP Malla, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 7 Division, and his dedicated team, who warmly welcomed Major General AS Ndalolo, the Executive Director of Consult (ED Consult), Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), who represented, Major General GA Wahab (rtd), Director General of NARC, with his accomplished team and the programme’s participants.

Professor Okey Ikechukwu mni, made a presentation on Introduction to Leadership Framework; Major General AS Ndalolo taught the participants Leadership in Peace and in War, as well as Ethics, Customs and Traditions of Nigerian Army, while a seasoned educationist, Dr Abubakar Boyi Sifawa made a presentation on Emotional Intelligence Skills; Mentoring and Coaching Skills.

The duo of Mrs Temitope Aiyedegbon Esq and Major Adasu Aondowase Francis, Esq PhD, made presentations on the Nigerian Constitution and Military Justice System and Armed Forces Act respectively, while the highly respected Professor Tajuddeen Akanji made a presentation on Interagency Cooperation, Collaboration and Coordination and Team Building Skills Development.

The programme featured tabletop exercises, revision, and course critique, and it concluded on a high note with a graduation ceremony, where Major General PP Malla presented certificates to deserving graduates.
