
Nigerian Army School Of Infantry Graduates Participants and Students Of First Quarter Course 2025
The Nigerian Army School of infantry (NASI) has graduated Participants and Students of Tactics and Platoon Weapons Wing First Quarter Courses 2025 on Friday, 11 April 2025. The combined graduation ceremony was held at Lieutenant General Ihejirika Auditorium in Jaji Military Cantonment, Kaduna State.
The graduated Tactics Wing courses included; Distinguished Participants of Commanding Officers’ Course 47, Company Commanders’ Course 79, Young Officers’ Course 143, Tactics Instructors’ Course 26, Infantry Non-Commissioned Officers’ Course 40 and Basic Infantry Course 32, while Platoon Weapons Wing graduated students comprises of Skill at Arms Instructors’ Course 92 and Basic Sniper Course 40.
In his graduation speech, the Special Guest of Honour, Major General Ademola Taiwo Adedoja, who is the Commandant Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre stated that the graduating participants and students were exposed series of classroom and outdoor exercises in line with the current challenges. They have demonstrated the qualities of leadership and discipline that are essential for the defence and security of our great nation underscoring the importance of professional military education. The Nigerian Army School of Infantry has provided participants and students with a unique opportunity to hone their skills, expand their tactical knowledge, and forge lasting bonds with Chief Instructors, Instructors, fellow participants and students as well as the Jaji community. The lessons they learned and the experiences gained will serve as the foundation for their future endeavours.
Major General Adedoja, further posited that the graduation of participants and students marks the gradual transformation into operational and tactical leaders. As graduates of Nigerian Army School of Infantry, they are now equipped with the tools of mid and lower level leadership. He also charge participants and students to lead with integrity, courage, and compassion.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commandant Nigerian Army School of Infantry Major General Frank Sunday Etim, expressed his profound gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede for his continuous support to NASI. He noted that since assumption of command as the Commandant NASI, the school has carried out series of curriculum review, to align with the current security challenges facing the Nigerian Army. Participants and students of Tactics Wing conducted their final exercise WAZOBIA HUNTER with recruits from the Depot NA and the exercise exposed the participants, students and recruits to some aspect of conventional and asymmetric warfare, routines in Main Operating Base like ambush, raids, patrols and attack on enemy camps as well as administration of men and equipment in the field amongst others.
Major General Etim, further stated that, for officers’ courses, emphasis was laid on characters’ reformation which is key to leadership development and alos implore the graduating students to be proud of their achievements and aim higher.
Highpoints of the event were presentation of merit awards to the deserving participants and students of Tactics, Platoon Weapon Wing, presentation of souvenir and group photographs.
