Nigerian Army Storms Criminal Hideouts, Rescues Victims, Recovers Weapons and Stolen Cash
In a string of daring operations across multiple states, gallant troops of the Nigerian Army have dealt a heavy blow to criminal elements. On 7 September 2025, troops of 4 Brigade raided a suspected militant camp at Kokotoro along the Okomu Waterway in Edo State. One suspect was arrested, a pump-action rifle with 4 live cartridges recovered, and the entire camp destroyed.
In Taraba State, troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE intercepted two suspects with cash of ₦1 million at a checkpoint in Gashaka. One suspect fled during interrogation, but investigations linked the cash to a recent farm-related murder. The money and motorcycle were secured, and efforts to apprehend the fugitive continue.
Meanwhile, in Kaduna, troops from FOB Sanga responded swiftly to a kidnap distress call in Ungwan Bera village. The kidnappers fled on sight, and 2 injured victims along with two children were rescued. The wounded were evacuated for urgent medical care, and manhunt operations are underway. The Nigerian Army remains relentless in dismantling criminal networks and restoring peace nationwide.
