Nigerian Army’s Antecedents Calls For Celebration — Ex-military Spokesman At Anniversary
Retired spokesman for Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, believes that Nigerian army’s antecedents call for celebration, stating that the country’s principal military agency has starling quality of service over more than one and half century plus.
Brig Gen. Usman made the assertion in a thought provoking treatise made available to SAVANNA TIMES.
“It is important to spare a moment to reflect on this symbol of national power and its profound contributions to our national development, peace and security and above all the enduring legacy of one of the greatest armies in the world for over a century and a half,” the general said.
In his article, written to celebrates the 161st anniversary of the Nigerian Army, he highlighted its legacy of bravery, service, and national development.
He reflected on the army’s evolution, professionalism, and contributions to peace, security, and development within Nigeria and beyond.
The former army spokesman acknowledges the army’s role in various endeavors such as peacekeeping missions, counterinsurgency operations, community services, and gender mainstreaming.
