Nigerian Defence Academy Opens Admissions for 76th Regular Course
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, has announced the commencement of the application process for admission into its 76th Regular Course. This highly anticipated opportunity for aspiring military officers is open to both male and female Nigerian citizens.
Key Application Details:
Application Period: Interested candidates can apply online from Monday, October 30, 2023, to April 30, 2024.
Application Portal: Applicants are required to visit www.ndaapplications.net to initiate the application process. A crucial initial step involves selecting “Purchase Access Code” and filling in personal details to facilitate payment for the application, which amounts to N3,500. Please note that payments are only accepted when made against RRR Codes generated via the application portal.
Application Requirements:
To be eligible for admission into NDA, candidates must:
Apply to the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) for the year 2024 and choose NDA as their first choice institution.
Sit for the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
Submit their application forms along with scanned SSCE results online.
Admission Requirements and More:

An important note is that having a working knowledge of French or Arabic can be an added advantage for applicants.
Screening Test and Date:
Only candidates who meet the admission requirements and obtain a UTME score of 180 for Arts & Social Sciences or Science, and 210 for Engineering courses, will be eligible to print the Screening Test Admission Card. The screening test is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2024, and will be conducted as the first phase of the Post-UTME screening.
Candidates should come prepared with their Acknowledgment Form, Screening Test Admission Card, JAMB result slip, and two postcard-sized (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs, showcasing their name, exam number, state, exam center, course of study, and signature on the back. Only successful candidates in the NDA Screening Test will proceed to the Armed Forces Selection Board (phase 2 of the screening test), and the list of admitted candidates will be subsequently published.
Training and Administration
Candidates who are admitted into NDA for the Regular Course will embark on a journey of military and academic training as Officer Cadets for a duration of 5 years. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn an honors degree in their chosen core discipline, such as BSc, BEng, or BA, and receive a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The cost of administration and logistics for all Regular Course cadets will be covered by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
