
Nigerian Navy College Of Accounts and Finance Owerrinta Inaugurates Student Officers and Ratings
On Monday, 14 July 2025, the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance, Owerrinta, held the inauguration ceremony for students of Officers Basic Course Batch 39, Petty Officers Qualifying Course Batch 47, Leading Hands Qualifying Course Batch 47, and Basic Qualifying Course Batch 55. The ceremony, which took place at the College auditorium, was attended by instructors and administrative staff of the College.
In his address, the Commandant of the College, Commodore BU Quadri, warmly welcomed the course participants to the inauguration ceremony. He noted that the event signifies the continuation of the College’s tradition of excellence, discipline, and service — values that are deeply rooted in the Nigerian Armed Forces. He urged the students to approach their training with utmost seriousness, assuring them that the College would provide all necessary facilities to ensure a successful outcome. The Commandant also warned against examination malpractice and indiscipline, emphasizing the importance of upholding the core values of duty, honour, and service.
While outlining the course expectations, the Training Commander, Commander NA Yakubu, described the courses as unique opportunities for participants to enhance their professional knowledge and contribute meaningfully to the operational efficiency of the Nigerian Navy. He further advised the students to maintain the highest standards of conduct both within and outside the classroom.
