Nigerian Navy Decorates 19 Newly Promoted Navy Warrant Officers
The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans Rear Admiral Joseph Daniel Akpan on Monday 5 August 24 when 19 Master Warrant Officers (MWO) who were newly promoted to the rank of Navy Warrant Officers (NWO) were decorated. The event was held at EZEOBA Hall, Naval Headquarters, Abuja. It should be noted that the NWO rank is highest rank attainable by ratings of NN.
The newly promoted NWOs are:
a. MWOPTI Shishi PM.
b. MWOREG Odili G.
c. MWOPTI Ogunbanjo.
d. MWORP1 Sa’adu IS.
e. MWOSR Garba S.
f. MWOSR Okwuolise P.
g. MWORP1 Omotuyole OF.
h. MWORP1 Ebhaleme K.
j. MWOUC1 Idakpo JA .
k. MWOSR Ekezie AD.
l. MWOQA Khadi M.
m. MWOMEA Aniche SC.
n. MWOMEA Nasiru S.
p. MWOATM Sanni A.
q. MWOMEA Anja SS.
r. MWOWEA Gidado MK .
s. MWOSA Obi-Okolo AA.
t. MWOSA Aminu MK.
u. MWOWTR Akinroye TAD.
In his remarks, the CNS stated that promotion comes from God alone and that it was a privilege to be elevated to the enviable rank of “Admiral of the lower deck.”
The CNS further noted that they were promoted based on their dedication, commitment and unbroken record to the service and the nation. He urged them to remember that promotion comes with great responsibility and implored them to lead by example.
Finally, the CNS appreciated the sacrifices of the spouses of the newly promoted NWOs.
Present at the event are Principal Staff Officers, Directors, senior officers of the Naval Headquarters, spouses of the newly decorated NWOs their family and well wishers.
