Nigerian Navy Demonstrates Commitment To Personnel Welfare With House Donation To Fallen Hero’s Family

The Nigerian Navy has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to personnel welfare and honour for fallen heroes with the successful handover of a fully completed 2-bedroom apartment to the family of late Leading Marine Engineer (LME) Aminu A, who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty during Operation FANSAN YAMMA in Zamfara State.

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, who was represented at the occasion by the Director Veteran Affairs, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Raheem Taofeek, stated that the gesture reflects the Nigerian Navy’s institutionalized welfare framework designed to support families of deceased personnel. He noted that although such interventions cannot replace the loss of a brave serviceman, they remain enduring symbols of honour, sacrifice, and national gratitude, in line with the CNS’s vision of a professionally competent, welfare-driven, and people-centric Navy.
