Nigerian Navy Discovers Numerous Illegally Refined Petroleum Products, Impound Boats, Deactivate Militant Camps In Bayelsa State

Operation DELTA SANITY: On Monday 30 September 2024, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) SOROH discovered numerous sacks containing illegally refined petroleum products around Kasama Jetty, Bayelsa State.

Furthermore, NNS SOROH patrol team discovered and impounded 2 wooden boats laden with an unspecified amount of illegally refined AGO in Foropa, Bayelsa State.

Additionally, On Tuesday 1 October 2024, NNS SOROH discovered and deactivated 2 militant camps where numerous sacks containing illegally refined petroleum products were hidden around Apoi Creek, Bayelsa State. Lastly, an illegal refining site with a reservoir laden with a large amount of illegally refined petroleum products was discovered and deactivated around Isonogbene general area, Bayelsa State.
