Nigerian Navy Headquarters Team Visits Nigerian Navy Contingent Of Operation UDO KA II
The Naval Headquarters Team led by the Chief of Naval Engineering (CONE), Rear Admiral B Iyalla visited the Nigerian Navy contingent of Operation UDO KA II which includes the Headquarters of the Maritime Component of the operation located at Nigerian Navy Ship OGUTA, Imo State, Naval Outpost ONITSHA, Anambra State and Nigerian Navy Ship MADUEKE, Enugu State. Upon arrival, the team paid a courtesy call to the General Officer Commanding 82 Division and Commander of the Joint Task Force Enugu, Major General HT Dada.
During the visit, the CONE inspected facilities in the various bases to get a first hand experience of the living conditions of the Troops and to encourage them. He also used the opportunity to inspect various Naval Headquarters ongoing projects, state government sponsored projects and community projects executed by the various field Commanders.
In his remarks, the CONE noted that the Nigerian Navy is satisfied with the conduct and exceptional fighting spirit of the Troops and enjoined them to keep up the work. He also pointed out that the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla is happy with the gains achieved so far. Lastly, the CONE delivered the CNS’ goodwill message to the Troops which highlighted the CNS’ commitment to their welfare and to supporting them with all that they need to fulfill their assignment.
