Nigerian Navy School Of Armament Technology Host Students Of Junior Course 98 On Study Tour

The Commandant, Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT), Kachia, Commodore Henry Aruomaren on Monday 12 August 2024, hosted a team from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji. The team which comprised of 24 staff officers and 432 students of Junior Course 98 was led by the Deputy Commandant and Director of Studies AFCSC, Rear Admiral Aniefiok Cletus Uko.

The composition of the students includes 173 students from the Nigerian Army, 141 students from the Nigerian Navy, and 108 students from the Nigerian Air Force. Additionally, 5 foreign participants from the Republic of Ghana, Republic of Cameroon and Republic of Guinea as well as 5 other participants from Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA); Defence Intelligence Agency and Defence Space Agency.

The tour aimed to expose the junior officers and junior level MDA officials to Nigerian Navy guns, weapons, and equipment with a view to providing them with valuable insights and perspectives that addresses security challenges through a holistic collaboration of the Armed Forces and other security agencies. The AFCSC, Jaji; a prestigious military institution, is focused on preparing officers for higher command by equipping them with strategic, operational, and tactical knowledge, which is necessary for effective decision making.

In attendance were the Director, Department of Joint Studies AFCSC, Brigadier General Nicholas Rume, Deputy Commandant Nigerian Army School of Artillery, Brigadier General Charles Zebere, Chief Instructors, Members of Directing Staff and other senior officers of NNSAT.
