Nigerian Navy Ship Arrives Port Of Colombo In Sri Lanka
The Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) UNITY has arrived Port of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in Southern Asia. The man of war departed Port of Klang in Malaysia on Saturday 01 October 2016 after an impressive diplomatic tour and arrived Port of Colombo on Wednesday 05 October 2016.
The Ship which is on her maiden cruise to Nigeria was warmly received at the Port by a delegation from the Nigerian Navy led by Rear Admiral Andrew Odeh, the Naval band of Sri Lankan Navy and other dignitaries.
Meanwhile, as part of her diplomatic activities in Sri Lanka, the head of NN delegation and other senior naval officers of NNS UNITY paid a Courtesy Visit on the Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Area of Sri Lankan Navy, Rear Admiral Jayantha De-Silva in his office. Rear Admiral Odeh extended the appreciation of the Nigerian Navy for the kind gesture by Sri Lankan counterpart.
The Ship is expected to depart Port of Colombo on Friday 07 October 2016 enroute Mauritius.
