Nigerian Navy Ship Beecroft Raids Criminals’ Hideout, Hands Over Illicit Substances To NDLEA

On Saturday, 24 January 2026, the Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) BEECROFT conducted a coordinated raid on an identified criminals’ hideout known as Gidan Drama, located at Agbo Malu, Apapa, following credible intelligence on the presence of suspected drug peddlers in the area. The operation led to the dislodgement of the criminal elements from the hideout. Items recovered include cannabis sativa, codeine, and other banned substances. This underscores the unwavering commitment of the NN to combat all criminalities in our Areas of operation, including anti-illegal drug enforcement, helping to curb the spread of illicit drugs.

The Commander NNS BEECROFT Rear Admiral Paul Ponfa Nimmyel, represented by the Executive Officer Navy Captain Idongesit Udoessien, handed over the recovered illicit substances to the Assistant Commander of Narcotics, Mr Azu Charles, of the Festac Area Command, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Monday, 2 February 2026.
