Nigerian Navy Ship Soroh Conducts Education Rhapsody In Bayelsa State

On Tuesday 9 July 2024, the Commander Nigerian Navy Ship SOROH Commodore NS Lakan represented by the Executive Officer Captain MA Kolo conducted an Educational Rhapsody which is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility and non-kinetic line of operations of the Nigerian Navy (NN) at Government Secondary School Toru-ebeni in Sagbama LGA of Bayelsa State.
Captain MA Kolo stated that the NN recognizes the pivotal role that education plays in national security and sustainable development.

Furthermore, through initiatives like educational rhapsody, the NN aims to enhance educational outcomes, promote academic excellence and cultivate a culture of learning that transcends borders. Some educational materials such as exercise books, biros, white maker boards, dusters and footballs were donated during the exercise.

Lastly, The Base Intelligence Officer Lieutenant Commander FG Oni gave a brief career lecture on the history, roles and activities of the NN, while encouraging the students to be diligent with their academics.
