Nigerian Navy Supports Ongoing Review Of Armed Forces Joint Defence Doctrine

The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) Joint Defense Doctrine Review Sub- Committee, led by retired senior officers Rear Admiral PC Nwatu, Air Vice Marshal EO Anebi, and Major General AT Adedoja, visited the Headquarters Western Naval Command, Special Operations Command, and Central Naval Command as part of the ongoing review of the Armed Forces’ Joint Defence Doctrine.

During the engagements, the Flag Officers Commanding all reaffirmed the importance of a modern doctrine that enhances jointness, interoperability, and operational effectiveness. Officers from the three Commands shared operational experiences and recommendations to strengthen the revision of the doctrine.

The engagements underscore the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to responsive Joint Defence Doctrine that addresses emerging security challenges and enhances the operational effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
