Nigerian Police Arrest Notorious Armed Robbers Terrorizing Badagry/Seme Area Of Lagos
Sequel to the Armed Robbery attacks on one Mr Garba Usman ‘m’ and Akubo Ibrahim m’ both custom officers of Nigeria customs service, On 1st of January, 2017 and 5th of January, 2017 Respectively at about 0100hrs in Mowo area of Badagry, Lagos during which they were dispossessed of their 2006 Toyota Corolla and Lexus 350 jeep and other valuables.
Following IGP Ibrahim K Idris’ directives, massive manhunt was lunched by IRT on the armed robbers and the unrelenting follow up led to the arrest of suspects
1) Tunji Adesanya 33years old a native of Odojomo in Ondo state who was just released from Agodi prison Ibadan, Oyo state.
2) Rasaq Lawal 22years the gang leader, a native of Lalate in Oyo state who was also just released from Agodi prison Ibadan shortly before the robbery,
3) Hammed Lawal 24years also a native of Lalate in Oyo state.
4) Olanrewaju Wasiu 29years, a notorious eiye confraternity member, a native of Ilorin in Kwara state.
5) Kenneth Ohmai ‘m’, 39years, a native of Benin in Edo state and 6) Ibrahim Aliu 26years, a native of Omuaran in Kwara State.
The suspects confessed to the armed robbery attacks on Mr Garba Babayaro and Akubo Idris respectively and several armed robbery attacks in Badagry/Seme areas of Lagos.
One Ak47 rifle,one locally made single barrel pistol, one locally made double barrel pistol, four Ak47 rifle magazines with 84 live ammunitions and one Beretta pistol magazine with 10 rounds of live 9mm ammunitions were recovered from the gang. Serious effort to arrest other fleeing gang members is in progress.
