Intelligence gathered that nine persons were killed and scores injured as gunmen attacked Bagana community, Omala LGA of Kogi State.
Sources say the assailants stormed the community on Tuesday evening, located a shop in the heart of the village, and killed four persons on the spot.
Intelligence gathered that the attackers then began shooting sporadically, killing five others in the process and injuring many others too.
One of the killed victims was a dispensary staff of the Local Government Health Center at Bagana community.
