
Officers Must Be Dedicated, Professional and Committed To Their Duties – Major General OC Ajunwa Charges Newly Promoted Officers
In the light of celebration, the Headquarters Nigerian Army Armoured Corps decorated its newly promoted officers at the Hassan Usman Katsina Officers mess Obienu Barracks Bauchi. The event was graced by the presence of the Corps Commander, Commandant Nigerian Army Armour school, Acting Director Records Army Headquarters Department of Personnel Management and some senior officers of the corps.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the career of the newly promoted officers, who were adorned with their new ranks. 12 officers of the promoter officers were decorated to their new ranks in the presence of very senior officers, colleagues, family/friend members and well wishers. The Commander Armour Corps in his congratulatory message urge the newly promoted officers to work harder in giving their best while performing their primary duties and urged the officers to take their career courses seriously.
In his address to the newly decorated officers, the Commander also commended their dedication, professionalism and commitment to their duty. He reminded them that promotion is not just a reward for past performance but also a call to higher responsibility.
In his further remarks the Commander Armoured Corps stated that the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General OO Oluyede (Nigerian Army Medal) has magnanimously approved the rebuilding of the Hassan Usman Katsina Officers mess.
The event was concluded with entertainment, refreshment, a group photograph with senior officers, officers, family/friend members and well wishers in the mess. The decoration ceremony underscored the enduring traditions of excellence and discipline within the Armour Corps and Nigerian Army at large. The Commander Armour Corps presence served as a source of motivation for all Invitees/Guests.
