
Oghareki Community Benefits From Headquarters Logistics Command Medical Rhapsody
On Tuesday, 2 December 2025, Headquarters Logistics Command (LOC) conducted a successful Medical Rhapsody for residents of Oghareki Community in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State. The outreach, a key component of the Nigerian Navy’s 2025 End-of-Year Activities, was led by the Flag Officer Commanding LOC, Rear Admiral Abiodun Alade, represented by the Chief Staff Officer, R Adm JO Ajodo. The initiative delivered a wide range of free medical services aimed at improving the health and general well-being of the host community.
During the event, R Adm Ajodo emphasized that the outreach went beyond medical care, describing it as a reaffirmation of the Navy’s commitment to service and its core values of Professionalism, Teamwork, and Integrity. He encouraged residents to take full advantage of the services provided, noting that the intervention represented an important step toward building a healthier and more united Oghareki Community. In response, the Head of the Chieftaincy Council, Unugbrogodo Andrew Arikeri, expressed deep appreciation to the Nigerian Navy and thanked the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, for continually supporting the community and enhancing their quality of life.
The Medical Rhapsody featured health talks, vital signs checks, malaria testing, blood sugar screening, deworming, and general medical consultations, all provided free of charge. The exercise recorded strong participation from residents, further strengthening the cordial relationship between Oghareki Community and the Nigerian Navy while reinforcing the Service’s dedication to meaningful social impact.
