The Ooni of Ife and his Olori Wuruola have been honoured by the Senate and General Assembly of New Jersey.

According to Goldmyne TV, the monarch was recognised for his outstanding achievements and devoted service to the people of Nigeria and West Africa.

Also, the monarch was handed the key to the city of Franklin, a rare honour given only to people who have immensely made an impact on the lives of the people of the city.

This heartwarming news comes days after the New York City senator, Kevin Parker, and the Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams, secured a proclamation to declare June 13 as ‘Yoruba Day’.

Also, the monarch is billed to meet with the President of the United States, Barack Obama, who reportedly will be giving him an award.
