Our Fight Against Corruption, Is To Secure Your Future – Magu Tells Integrity Clubs
The Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has charged Integrity Clubs from various Secondary Schools in Abuja that the fight against corruption is a struggle to secure the future of Nigerian citizens, especially children and youths.
He made this assertion during an interactive session of a program, ‘Anti-Corruption Situation Rloom’ organized by Human and Environmental Development Agenda, HEDA, in Abuja.
“Everybody should be involved. This fight is not for EFCC alone. We are exterminating corruption to secure your future.” Magu said.
He admonished the students to take ownership of the fight against corruption as it is a collective responsibility and duty of every citizen of this country to secure the future of Nigeria adding that, the earlier they get involved in the fight as young persons, the better and easier it would be to create a corruption free nation.
The EFCC boss further urged every participant to spread the message and mobilize as many persons as possible to engage in eradicating corruption from Nigeria.
His words: “Mobilize as many as possible. Corruption is the reason why we are here today, it will kill this country if we don’t play our roles as citizens.”
He urged participants to abhor corruption and support the fight against graft by exposing corrupt elements in the society.
At the interactive session, the students were elated as they had the opportunity to ask questions and discuss directly with the EFCC boss.
