Outrage After Johnny Depp Jokes About Assassinating President Trump
Last night, at Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England, the actor stirred major drama after he made jokes aimed at President Trump that referenced assassination.
“Can we bring Trump here?” Depp asked the crowd at the festival. “I think he needs help. This is going to be in the press and it’ll be horrible. But I like that you’re all a part of it. When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”
The crowd roared with laughter, and Depp continued. “I want to clarify, I’m not an actor, I lie for a living,” he said.
AP reports that the actor added this: “Been a while, and maybe it’s time.”
The actor is currently being flayed on the internet and many people have refused to take his comments as joke and this is because actor John Wilkes Booth famously assassinated President Abraham Lincoln in 1865.

On Twitter, many have called for the actor’s arrest. However, the Secret Service are yet to react to the outrage, while Depp himself has yet to make an official statement since the drama started.
