Photo News: Chief Of Army Staff Attends Passing Out Parade Of Officer Cadets At The Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, on Saturday , 27 September 2025, joined the Special Guest of Honour, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the Passing Out Parade, Pipping and Presidential Commissioning of Officer Cadets of 72 Regular Combatant Course (Tri-Service), Short Service Course 48 (Army), Direct Short Service Course 33, and Branch Commission 2 (Air Force) at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.
A total of 880 Officer Cadets were commissioned into the Armed Forces of Nigeria. They comprise:
a. 72 Regular Course comprising 218 Army, 135 Navy and 119 Air Force.
b. Short Service Combatant Course 48 (Army) — 253.
c. Direct Short Service Course 33 and Branch Commission 2 (Air Force) — 123 and 32 respectively.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented at the event by the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio. The POP was attended by Members of the National Assembly, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Ministers of Defence, other Members of the Federal and State Executive Councils, the Chief of Defence Staff, General C.G. Musa, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, Heads of Security Agencies, the Commandant NDA, Major General A.K. Ibrahim, Principal Staff Officers from Defence and Services Headquarters, parents and well-wishers of the passing-out cadets, among other distinguished dignitaries.
