Reports indicate that a policeman, his wife, and five children were found dead in their apartment on Tuesday at Elegbaata village, Oke Suna, Apomu, Isokan LGA of Osun State.
Sources in the community disclose that while eight people slept in the house on Monday, seven were found dead the following morning.
It was gathered that residents in the area became suspicious when several hours after daybreak the door of the house had remained shut.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of their death cannot be ascertained, however, sources say upon arrival at their residence, they inhaled the odour of a chemical.
The Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
She said, “Operatives have removed the deceased for autopsies. They were taken to the OAU Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife. But investigation has commenced, even though we have not made any arrest.
